card needs reprograming
strong works but you need 2008 firmware - find on strong site
card will also need booting first in a iderto box as it wont boot in a strong ie.53x 54x 58x

Hey mickc, i dont doubt you on the irdeto booting part , but, can anyone confirm this,,, i dont see the diff between a purple cam in a strong srt4658x(which i have and doesnt seem to work) and a licenced irdeto box,
also is a HEALING HSI860 A LICENCED IRDETO BOX?

the healing hsi860 doesnt state its licenced or anything like that ,its mearly stated on the packaging as being an irdeto cas box,if you can understand what im getting at.

a few pages back i posted that i had freecam 2021 and 22

We've had Irdeto Freecam edition v2.18 (Incl earlier editions), a v2.19 edition, then finally the last release v2.20. These were applied to 2.06B cams generally. It remains a minimally bitchy cam with no pop-up 'nag windows', but of course no longer functions with Austar's now unique CAS.

I've not ever seen a 2.21 or a 2.22 "Irdeto Freecam" except over time the files name as listed in an Austar provider box, and this is not the same 'thing' as an 'Irdeto Freecam' mod.

Atm Austar boxes run 2.26C cam. (In some Ird Compliant boxes, the sub card shows "Error 80-35 Custom CAS" message).

NB; Irdeto freecam editor (FCEdit) can be handy, but I've not used it for a while.

there definately was a freecam 2021 and 2022 but i cant remember where i got them from i know it wasn,t lefdata as i,ve looked there
i have looked at the cams as i said and cant really see any difference so you may well be right keepleft
how ever i think from memory cwispy used to be the cam expert so maybe he would know more
as i said i have the cams here and if there is something special about these versions i cant see it but if you can extract from a cam the neccesary software i,ll give it a go and post it

Yes

I got told my friends Strong 4658X running 1.16 firmware
with a v5.3 whitey running great for two days is now showing
Scrambled Channels.

He said he noticed that it was down about 2.15pm today.

He updated to v1.17 firmware with no success.

Any Advice.
