Changeing Symbol rate on old abs box

Hey, ive searched around but couldnt find any posts helpful..

Does anyone remember how to change the symbol rate on a ABS ADB 8776?

Mike, haven't got that specific Firmware, on Scanning does it have a Light Blue with white background, I have an earlier version its Softcam 2.08 Loader 9, don't know if this will help but here goes, if it is stuck on the scanning screen press "Menu" then enter "Settings", then "Installation" then "Change Dish Installation" it will ask for a PIN its 2878 then select "Change Home Transponder Tuning" then scroll down to "Symbol Rate" and use the left & right arrow keys on the remote to get rid of what is in there and then enter your required SR, i.e. 30000, if this doesn't help, then may I suggest you describe where things are stopping, and maybe a couple of screen shots to help.

I have dark blue background with white text. I go into installation menu but it dosent have "change dish Installation". It only has 1-7 catagories. will an OTA upgrade fix or maybe changing firmware?

Found a Version Firmware with Loader 29, that has no Dish Installation menu either, looks like you will need to JTag the box.
