Trouble loading some games?

Hi

so this is sort of following on from my last post which is here:


long story short, i had to get my original liteon drive flashed to 1.9 and reinstalled into my xbox (it had a samsung running 1.6)

This is all done and fine now

only problem is that some games still dont load. All the games that worked with my samsung and 1.6 are fine but a couple of games say an update is required to play the game. Then during the install of the update it says it cant read the disc??
This is exactly that was happening with my old drive so i figured that 1.9 would fix it.

The games are Duke Nukem Forever and Mortal Kombat 9. These were burnt the same way as all others and on the same media. (all patched to wave 3 as needed by 1.6 at the time)

Any suggestions? should the modder have installed some update before reflashing? my dash says it is running version is 12625

Im worried about running any updates on games in case it restores the drive or something like that...

lol yes,

he should have updated to 13146 before updating it to LT 1.9

Because when you update to 13146 the drive gets flashed back to stock

I double checked with him and he assured me it was easy

sigh There is no way around this?? How do i update to 13146??

ok just spoke to the modder and he things I should be ok to update to 13146 because i have LT+1.9.

Anyone know if this is true? Any other way of updating to 13146 other than connecting to xbox live?

ok have confirmed that my modder was correct. with lt+1.9 updating the dash online seemed to have no problems.
all is working fine now
