Seagate issue loading seatools

Hi, i am currently having an issue and have had this problem several times where i try to load seatools on a clients pc to test hard drive, it stops loading at the screen NOTE: Dos Drive letter assignment are dynamic please eject cd and reboot.

It is a IDE DVD Burner, SATA Hard Drive,

Have tried changing ide jumper settings, and changed sata port.

Also tested and changed RAM, Ram was ok but thought it might not be compatible with seatools.

Have also tried another seagate hard drive. Same thing happens

I had a similar problem, best solution was DON"T use Seatools.

There are much better DOS based programs out there.

Test-Disk 6.9 is great for rebuilding partition tables
I forget the DOS boot disk other one for testing and recovering the disk itself tho. It takes ages to run, like 24hrs on a 320gig drive. But if it can't fix it, nothing will

i agree
i ended up using the WD disk tools (whatever thats called)
and used it on all drives. didn't seem to have a problem
