    **Sigh!!**

As I have pointed out on Navsoons forums,

These maps are NOT Navteq maps, for some reason Kogan (Like most other GPS providers) have jumped into bed with Telstra (Sensis!!!)

Why they keep doing this is beyond me, if you live in a rural area you may as well throw that GPS in the bin and buy a paper map, Sensis maps are that bad!!

    Regards

i would have to agree with the above comment, the navteq map on my nokia 6110 navigator is more acurate than the map on my new navman s30,anyway it is here in the rural area where i live, far south coast of nsw.

Hey guys I know this is a older thread but it decribes what Im after.
My SD card has crashed and basically outdated anyway.
Does anyone have The updated software for the Kogan gps unit? Its about 10 months old and came with a 1GB SD card.
Or is there better software to use for this unit? If so any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks inadvance
    forbirun
ps. the old link that chucky699 provided works but Im after newer maps!

I know it's probly pointless pasting this other old link but its the same version only it's the multi-launguage version.

    Hi there Johnno,

Yeah i found it OK, and have just been testing it on my GPS, one thing i have noticed is that there is no "Exit" button

While testing i have to do a full reboot to get out of it!!!

Seems to be an older version of Destinator 7, with the new maps...Most unusual!!

Reports Version 7.00 of D7, may have to try putting these maps in a newer version of the software and see what happens!!!!

    Anyway...thanks again Johnno

    Regards

    Hi Brian,

Glad you can get some use from the download,

With thanks to Geoff,at the Navsoon.org site you will find a great skin called "bluebarup_2,which gives you an exit button, and a little car icon,as well

Dont Quite understand why they used an earlier version of D7,

    Possibly more Stable??

    I do know this.
TTS works quite well on this version, speaking Street Names,as well as Voice warnings of Upcoming POI's stored and ticked in your Favourites Folder.

A UK TTS voice pack is also available at The Navsoon site,
    Again Thanks to Geoff.

Hope you get it all sorted Mate.

    Cheers.
    John

    Hi again Brian,

Thats great Glad you got it sorted Mate.

One thing you might find interesting,
when I installed TTS I did a Simulated route.

It took me on unnessary turns for some reason, and instead of saying "Approaching school zone",It said "Approaching P O I 1",

Drove me Ballistic, until I got it to do Its own DEMO,
On Page 2 of settings I think.

    All Sorted from then on.

    Works perfectly Now.

    Cheers Mate.

I have put these files onto a SD memory card. Plugged it into a iDirect PND35 but I get a message about the map when accessing the map.

"To enable this service please go to:

You will be askedto enter the following
    Device Identification Number:
    BI4154334583048485F300003060355"
Going to I get directed to Nokia site as a consequence cannot unlock the map
