Default Diablo wifi cam setup with Mediastar hdx 9100

As I am looking at buying a Diablo Wifi cam so I can use it in my
Mediastar HDX9100 and possibly home share my subcard between the Mediastar and a dreambox or similar Linux based box.

Leroypatrol mentioned in a earlier post that this was possible I would like to hear anyones experiences with this venture as I shall need some help with it .

If you host your card in the linux based box you can use a Diablo wifi CAM to connect to the linux receiver. From memory I found cccam to work better than newcamd for some reason but I can't remember why. It worked well with the Mediastar 9100 with only the odd channel change that didn't work where you would get sound and no pics but just channel change up or down and back to the channel and the pics would clear.
You need to have special Underworld firmware loaded but I'm sure where ever you buy it will come preinstalled otherwise you need a Duolabs CAS3 programmer. If you got really stuck I could program it for you

    Cheers,
    Leroy

    Many thanks Leroy

It definately sounds like a good option to be able to use the Mediastar in the mix.

I shall post again if and when I buy the cam.
    Cheers Marty

Mediastar HDX9100 is a nice decoder it is a sham that it can't be used as a client other then 1 to 1, It looks like it has the hardware to do the job just the software hasn't been done for it unless it is under ground.

I'm only new to the machine and actually only obtained it for the terrestrial capabilities - or so I thought it could perform.

I thought the machine could record two channels whilst I watch another. What I can only seem to do is, record two channels and only watch, within the same Network courier. Is this correct? I hope I'm just doing something wrong. I thought I could record say: ABC1, plus SBS2 plus watch channel 7.

I purchased the machine without a User Manual and the download version from Net is rather basic.

Hope someone can advise and tell me either way what the machine can and can't do.

    Cheers
Why are you spamming every thread that mentions Mediastar 9100? Your issue has nothing to do with this thread and the diablo Wifi cam.
