possible prob with Whitey before the crash

I had a whitey working perfectly in a Smart wi splitter before the crash.
I bought a future splitter due to the poor range of the Smart wi

The future would not run the whitey altho it worked perfectly well in the Smart wi and a variety of boxes.

I mailed Future as below and my question and their answer is interesting.

Could this be the reason they are not now working

I dont know if this would effect the ability for a cam to decode the stream but it is interesting ??

It SEEMS like Sellers are AT90SC7272's with the Sellers Gamma OS.

Are Public Gammas the same card or AT90SC6464's (Titaniums??), with the Public Gamma OS? Anyone know of a way of testing how much memory each card has?

I'm not sure that Future's answer is correct. The Future splitter will also not work with a Silver Aurora, and that's only Irdeto 1. It seems that the cam doesn't get an ATR from the splitter when used with a whitey or a silver, and so the box displays "Unknown Smart Card". I'm hoping that a future Future firmware update may overcome this problem. I don't see it as a problem with the cards because, as you say, they work fine in an Irdeto cam. Unfortunately the Chucky sub card I was using was out of the box so long that it died whilst I was watching FBO and so I didn't have a chance to try it with the Future.
