    1. 7025 is incapable of sharing a gamma card, 7020 has no probs.
    2. 7025 can record one channel and watch another.
    3. 7020 is available as a clone for half the price, so use one to record only

item #1 is a show stopper for me.......

DREAMBOX 8000 FOR SALE 250 EUROS

DM themselves put the market price at EUR 799 .. Here is a snippet of news for everyone ..

Lünen, 11 January 2008. Dream Multimedia, the leading provider of Linux-based set-top boxes, has lifted the curtain a little on the future of television in its news section at . The company plans to present two receivers for high-definition television (HDTV).

The manufacturer will announce technical on these latest Dreambox models shortly, this applies also to the product names and the recommended retail prices.

In launching these HDTV boxes Dream is also sending a clear signal to programme providers to make more HD contents available, in order to drive the distribution of high-definition television from their side. At the same time, this is an opportunity for Dream to complete its range of receivers, providing digital television experiences for beginners and professionals, depending on the features provided.

The current flagship is the DM 7025+, featuring a twin tuner and an optional hard drive, making it ideal for recording purposes. If you prefer a more compact approach, have a look at the DM600 PVR, the smallest Linux hard drive receiver in the world. The Dream DM 100 is the first set-top box featuring its own operating system.

Dream spokesperson Alpaslan Karasu: „All HDTV fans can look forward to the HD Dreamboxes. Our two HDTV receivers will provide just the right mix of features for beginners and professionals. Now the ball is in the court of the programme providers to get HDTV going. We will make our contribution in the form of the HD Dreamboxes.“

    My note:
The new receiver are DM800 - single tuner and DM8000 you all know about already

That's the way to buy bargains...in bulk.

Does anyone know if the PLi IOLite Enigma2 works with DM7020 or only with the DM500 Plus?
