I'm thinking the Queensland units would be best for anyone in WA. Four live afl games, live league and union, live one day cricket. I'd have to way up my fox subbie if I had one of those.
You can make a few dollars on 2nd hand vast boxs one sold on e-bay today for $413 had been used in the N.T.

Does anyone know what the "supposed" law is in regards to selling second hand vast receivers ? By rights you own it and do have the right to sell it, but no doubt there is some bullshit terms and conditions ?
Yes, anybody anywhere can buy and own a VAST decoder, but entitlement to activation is different to ownership.
There is a clause about notifying VAST withing xx days if the box is sold and the purchaser must then apply for activation in their name at their address.
The same applies to notification if an owner moves address.
When I get a moment, I'll see if I can find the clause... unless someone else beats me to it in the meantime.

Costly exercise if you buy a vast box from Qld from someone going to the NT and then they call in to get the new service activated. I'm sure the old box registered to that person would come up in the conversation...still a risk many would take I guess.
Here is what channels are on the vast system looks as though ten Adelaide are up on the c1 satellite

well these boxes are fantastic i have one here in Adelaide activated and get the eastern states channel sc7 etc great for sport they eg tennis always delayed here in Adelaide same with cricket always miss out on the first 30 minutes of night session in the one day cricket. This is the only reason why i have these because the sport broadcasting if you don't live in Sydney and Melbourne is crap
Why would anyone pay big bucks for a box registered for another zone when you can simply get a travellers registration for whichever zone you are in. You can change to any of the 3 zones when required.
Northern service will operate in northern time zone, providing standard definition services for viewers in Queensland and the Northern Territory based on Brisbane time.
Southern Service will operate in Southern time Zone providing standard definition services for viewers in NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania based on Sydney time.
And from all accounts the WA service is now available.
The renewal system is as simple as filling in another form & since a lot of Grey Nomads keep travelling untill they die you should be able to be cremated with your VAST box still active.
Even the old Aurora system was renewable by travellers every 6 months & reading some of the forums on that subject; no one ever gets knocked back.
Cheers, Tiny

The information is out there; you just have to let it in."
That sounds good i might try that travelers thing how soon after you fill it in do they activate it. get the NT zone activated that has live Friday night football and live tennis and live cricket perfect for those of us who live in SA and WA
