liteon drive flash time?

Hi

Can I flash my liteon drive in my phat consoles now and then upgrade to the new dash? Or should I update flashed drive consoles then re-flash drives?

Flash after the update or you will be re flashing if you do it before.

so the new fw doesnt mask that it is hacked to the new dash?

When I downloaded the new fw it has pre and post dashupdate versions...

So I figure you can update the drive before the dashboard yes???

Generally no. If you flash your drive and then update the dashboard it will reflash your drive to stock firmware. You're better updating the dashboard and then flashing the drive.

The main reason for the 2 firmwares is for people to use the pre who aren't updating the dashboard and not intending to and the post for people who do update.

Since I want to play gow3 when it is released I guess one will be forced to do the dash update by then. so i will wait and flash after I play gow3

Thanks smithster for the info and clearing that up for me. I'll wait until after I am forced to update dash then when things don't work I will reflash. I'm also keen on GOW 3 poison, as I only play offline I get my dash updates through new games....so keep on gaming until you get the new update then reflash.

Good idea. I will just keep the dash that I have now and update when I need to. Although 1 of my consoles has fw that cant play new games on it anyway. was going to update it but it can wait.
