Logging from a DM8000

Hi all,

Just a bit stuck with the process for logging from a DM8000. I am having an issue with getting the EMK logger to connect to port 31338 on the dreambox. all firewalls are off the dreambox and laptop with the emk logger on it are on the same network.

Streampes is installed and is appearing as listening when running a netstat -a

I am running oscam and mgcamd on the box. I have disabled mgcamd when trying to log with emk logger as i read with a cam installed and running it can stop it working if emk logger wasnt connected before the cam was started...

Any ideas?

Thanks for the link Leroy. Ive run through that setup and it appears that is the way mine is setup. Not sure what may be getting in the way of it working... would running oscam stop the EMK logger software from attaching to the specified port ?

Thats all that I can think that is stopping it.. I might have to kill the oscam process and try again..

use ird_logextract make sure input the dreams ip address, mine also logs fine via the wireless

got it going with a dm800... still doesnt work on the dm8000... might be an image problem... ah well got something working anyway. cheers for the assistance guys,

Should work on the 8000 as well. It also works on the Vu Duo.

what image are you running on the 8000? is yours clone or orginal?

Running New Dream Elite 2 on DM8000 and New Dream Elite 1 on the 800.

Yep the 8000 and the 800 are clones. 8000 is running the ferrari sim New Dream Elite 2 image.

My 8000 with Ferrari-SSL78F-Nemesis2.2-dm8000-e2-OE(1.6) works with logging software. I also use mgcamd with oscam and can connect and disconnect any time with the logger.

Some other softcams aren't as forgiving.

Anyone else have trouble getting streampes running on one of the newer images ? I've just installed Nemesis v2.6 and loaded the usual files into usr/lib and usr/sbin. My logger conectsto the box, but no data is logging. All attributes set at 755, also have this in the inetd.conf file:

Anyone have a solution to this ?
