Default Export KIS 2011 exclusion list

    Hi all,

I'm trying to locate the file on the C drive that contains the exclusions list of all the website addresses we had blocked, I then want to export that same into a new h/d...

My XP system h/d cacked itself last night, I had another h/d with Windows 7 already loaded and started using that, However I now want to try and export the exclusions list from the XP h/d to the Windows 7 h/d and just need to locate this on the old h/d?

has anyone ever done this previously, any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Osci, I wonder if you do what is linked below, whether it will transfer the block list. It might be worth a try.

1 In order to export the application settings into a file, perform the following:

    open the main application window
in the right upper corner of the main application window, click the Settings link
in the left upper corner of the Settings window, go to Advanced Settings
in the left part of the Settings window, select Manage Settings
in the right part of the Settings window, click the Save button
enter the file name and select the folder where the file will be saved
    click the Save button
in the Settings window, click the OK button
    close the main application window.

2 In order to import the application settings from a file, perform the following:

    open the main application window
in the right upper corner of the main application window, click the Settings link
in the left upper corner of the Settings window, go to Advanced Settings
in the left part of the Settings window, select Manage Settings
in the right part of the Settings window, click the Load button
find and select the configuration file saved earlier
    click the Open button
in the Settings window, click the OK button
    close the main application window.

Mick....the biggest issue with this is the original kis2011 is on the old h/d which stopped working.

I can read the old h/d if I conect it another pc as a slave or storage device.......if I start kis2011 from the storage device I may be able to get the file? I try this and post back.

Osci, I didn't realize the drive was totally s!uffed. You wont be able to get KIS to run from a EXT drive. I'll have another look at the KIS hidden files.
