Default Windows Media Player 11 Help

    Guys,

Anyone experiencing problems with wmp11 when trying to run WMV files?

Operating system windows xp sp2 well.. now sp3 but still getting the same problem regardless of version.

When i try to play wmv files i have audio and vision however the sound is fine the vision lags out of sync way behind the sound, when this happens my cpu is at 100% but only on these files, well most of them anyway.

I have tried many things, even went back to v 9 and 10 which work great, no issues there, just wondering why this is the case?

    Any help would be great

    Thanks.

If you have Nero on your PC try using Nero Showtime instead. Right click the file you want to play and select "Open With" then find Nero Showtime which is in the Nero folder. I would also be interested to know how much RAM you have in your PC and what speed your main Chip is as this may be part of the problem.

    Thanks for the reply eaglam,

Yes i have Nero installed so i will try that. I have 1gig ram and couldnt tell you the speed of the chip. Would that make a difference though considering all works fine with wmp 9 and 10?
