    Default help dropped wii

    My kids tripped over the gamecube cord and pulled the wii down.
    Now the load mach. wont pull in disks. I can start it no problems but when you try to put in a disk you here it trying to work but nothing.

    any ideas on a fix. Mick has modded it so it wont go back to nintendo.

    Sorry, wish I could comment, but can't really without looking at it. I know there are some people about who can sell you just the DVD drive part if it is mechanically damaged beyond repair, but it will mean it will have to be remodded.

    If you can't get hold of Mick I am happy to take a look at it for u and assess it FOC.

    mate nsdn is correct , you are best to send it to one of the guys here who is close to you
    Put an advert in the BS&T asking for wii repair service as that is how we do things here now
    generally though it will be only something simple and mechanical , though in my experience these simple things are sometimes the worse things to fix lol

    Wii drives are a real bitch
    the gears sometimes pop out, and its an easy fix to push them back in.
    Sometimes something misaligns, and its almost impossible to fix


    When you try and insert a disc, is the drive just locked, or will the gears inside spin, just not grabbing the disc
    I have seen plenty of wii drives not accepting disc, and it just a matter of 'unlocking the drive gate'

    My advice, if you are semi confident, is to buy a triwing screw driver, and open up your console. will only cost ya $10.
