Yeh firmware was 3.60 and asked me to upgrade to 3.70 first thing when connected to ps store, I wont be modding so firmware doesnt bother me

Well EB Games have done the same as Harvey Norman, so lashed out and got one. It is a mainly a media server, blueray player and then a general games machine - I havent got the firmware version yet (edit...it is 3.65) - but was wondering what is required to jailbreak, and what will jailbreaking allow me to do?

I know that there is ample of information here, and many ways to do it..... but I'm sure someone here does this (many times) and I am sure there is an easy way to do it (so basically asking for a gimme )

That's just a spam / advertising website. I highly doubt that will work.

Only way currently to jailbreak a PS3 with 3.70 you will need to use a progskeet to downgrade to 3.55 then flash with custom firmware.

I picked up a bundle from my local JB hifi for $349 which included HDMI cable plus 2 games. After a bit of haggling I also got them to toss in a blu-ray remote for a discounted price.

Very happy with it....not sure which FW but as I wont be modding it doesnt matter.
