    Default update problem

    Just wanting to update my phat ps3 to ofw 3.55 so then i can put on the cfw 3.55 but when i go to update via storage device i get "no applicable update data was found".The firmware on there now is 3.40.
    Any ideas how to fix this problem.

    you must format usb stick in fat32 , then open blank stick , make a folder called PS3 , then open the ps3 folder and make another folder called UPDATE , inside the update folder put your firmware then try again.
