    Arrow IPTV box

    Hey guys,

I want to buy an online tv box with a feature that allows me to add my own set of channels for example if BBC is not part of the package I want to be able to add the URL for the online stream from the BBC website to be able to watch it on my tv.

I've been doing some research and so far the only one that does this is a box called ZAAPTV but it's too expensive.

Any ideas, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hey ppl, just bringing this thread back to see if anyone has any ideas. Would a jail broken apple TV do the above? or any other IPTV (Internet TV) box under $200 ?

XBMC running on PC/MAC/AppleTV/RaspberryPi/Your old Toaster will playback streams directly from the url

or maybe a WDTV Live running the latest custom WDLXTV firmware 0.5.1.1 has many UMSP plugins that enable various IPTV streams on the box - although the box won't do rtmp or mms streams directly you could always use a PC with VLC or similar to grab the stream and re-stream it to the WDTV box

Yes, a jailbroken Apple tv2 would get you those channels.
Some of them are very hit and miss though with regards to the reception.
You want at least a good ADSL connection.
    Try it and see.

I bought this little device for my old lady a while back, they used to provide some good quality channels but not now.

Could try Serviio free Java based DLNA server for windows has a live_feed.groovy plugin available at it's forum so you can add online live feeds and stream them to your TV, bluray player PS3 etc.

They have a forum for help.
