Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while. I am an American living in Seattle and I (still) have a Jedi ABS-8776. What I want to do is quite simple really, just get it working with true FTA on the Galaxy 19 bird. The front says "SCAN" but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. Does it only work on one transponder for some reason? Because Al Jazeera English and RT are on one TP and they are all I seriously watch anyway. I already watch FTA with a Pansat but I want to run this one too, I know you understand. It has a card slot and an Irdeto smart card, any thoughts on what I could use that for? But as it is I think I need to RTFM, a PDF of the user's guide would help considerably. Oh I posted a while back and someone the Jedis for the American market are different. It has two DB9 connectors so I think I can program it with the serial port.

This is a three year old thread.

Try setting the home transponder freq correctly for the sat your pointed at, and make sure the LNB settings match the LNB your using if you want it to scan correctly.

The firmware for the Jedi 8776 is different to the Austar 8776. At the end of the day they are a POC box. I would spend the $20 and buy a propper cheap SD FTA receiver if that's what you need.
