This is a newbies thread and most people find this interesting. Pity about the B4L crap.

Everyone can knock off the crap or everyone will be getting infractions. There is no need for it so dont do it.
Fair enough, but I still feel obliged to inform the OP that some of these posts as far as lining up the LNBs are contrary to the principles involved.
The images and details posted by Misterex are incorrect and defy logic.
It flies in the face of what other esteemed members have posted.
Let's see how the OP can duplicate this.
The point not as yet raised, is that he said he removed the C1 LNB from between D1 and PAS 8.
The line up of his LNBs mystifies me and I'm all agog for a logical explanation.
Let's be realistic, the RH LNB is pointing to the edge of the dish.
This is from Leroy with C1, D1 and PAS8. Edit; from left to right. Later changed to D2, D1 and PAS8.
Note that all LNBs aim at the centre of the dish.
If we are to be so introverted as to send Newbies on wild goose chases, so be it, but you can be assured that I will do my best to correct these anomalies.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

more pics this time a laser pointer is used (rolled around the lnb cap then marked with an X in the approximate centre) to find where each lnb is pointing on my particular chinese dish and magic mount multi lnb holder...Fair enough, but I still feel obliged to inform the OP that some of these posts as far as lining up the LNBs are contrary to the principles involved.

this one is advertising the super bracket LNB holder - note the left lnb not following the rules...
and if you search google with various terms (magic mount, multiple lnbs, multi lnb etc) you'll get 100s of pictures like the above example showing LNBs mounted off centre of the dish - yes these pics are for different sats (Asia, Middle East, India, USA etc) but the theory still stands when adding multiple lnbs to a single dish.

Lots of ways with lots of different dish and LNB types... twin mounted KU band lnb for prime foxus with also dual out offset lnb for another satellite ( not best as offset has loss on prime focous but dish size also compensates..
And KU band dish with a Norsat lnb and a cheapo quad out Cband LNB for another sat 10 degrees off.
The OP needs to understand that they can be fiddly to setup and also work well with a good multiswitch

Mysterex and Leroys pictures are they conflicting
That's why there's a bit of B4L carry on. To me it looks NQR but at the end of the day if it works for him that's all that matters.
Any multi LNB setup is always going to be a compromise because the LNB's aren't at the focal point of the dish (or maybe the centre LNB) if the dish has been pointed with it.
