DG-16D4S question

Hi I have a virgin slim with a DG-16D4S 9504 drive I an currently able to extract the key. From what I have read if I update to the latest dash It will lock my drive.Will I be able to write to my dive again in the future?Is it the read key capabilities the only the only thing thats effectet?

yes the update will lock your drive.
yes you will be able to write to your drive again in the future. (but you need to unlock it first (not easy tho) )

but if you want to play the latest games, you will need to update your xbox.

ok I have dumped the key and created the cutom firmware LT+ v1.92 can I flash as a 0272 drive now and up date dash as I will not be able to when the drive is locked or do I update dash then flash or do I have to stick with a lower dash version? or is the custom pcb the only way to go?or can I spoof to a different spare drive?

You can't spoof any of the drives anymore.

Depending on your chipset you might be able to use a MXIC Trident or a Probe MXIC (If you have a MX chipset) otherwise you will need to drill the existing PCB or get a replacement Team Xecuter PCB.
