I remember that game cant think of the name tho, although sega had ported it to the mega drive so search segas catalog.
Hi there,
I am hoping someone can ID an older arcade helicopter attack game.
It was a sit in. You sat in a cockpit which would move with your flightstick (hydraulics) and you chose areas from a map to enter missions to destroy naval ships etc.
It's driving me crazy trying to find this game

Sorry guys. None of these are it. Rather thasn a cockpit view this game has an arial view and you sit in a hydraulic cockpit mainly taking out ships and their aircraft on those ships
hey champ
another one that comes to mind is apache, link below
also heres a link to a list of most arcade games, hopefully a name there will jog your memory, good luck
Air Rescue might be what you are thinking of , made in about 1990 from memory there was a dual version and a dedicated single player simulator, but quite rare in Australia.
But more than likely it is Thunder blade made by Sega is 1987 ,
Heaps of these were sold all over Australia by LAI .
It was so popular the same cabinet was used for After Burner and made a fortune in arcades as well .
There is another machine I worked on far while ago but I cant remember the name of it now , it was a quite ugly green metal cabinet and weighed a ton !! another of the very few helicopter games that was fully moving
Hang on it come to me it is Metal Hawk , you can download the mame Roms from here
Metal hawk, that game was great, thanks for the reminding me.
Gerbertron and Joey - you guys are CHAMPIONs. That's it. It was Metal Hawk...
THank you to all
Yeah thanks Joey
I'd been wondering what this game was called for a while now, and for some stupid reason i put the wrong utube on here, here's what I ment (Hopefully)
I put way to many coins into that machine as a kid. Never played it on a emulator. Going to have to fire it up in the Xbox and give it a play. I remeber being able to clock it on without to much trouble.
By reading this, you have already given me control over a tiny slice of your mind
