    Default Wifi

it doesn't work even when i try what it says to do on that site. I've tried in so many different ways. and tried all the things it says to do if 1 thing doesn't work.

it just won't work and its so frustrating.

Well for starters what's not working?

Are you trying to connect through a wireless modem/router or are you using one of those Nintendo USB WiFi Connector?

Can your DS see your wireless network?

Can you get online but not connect to games?

Need a few more details cause I could put a walkthrough up but chances are I would be telling the same things your already read/tried before.

Do you have encryption on your wireless network? What WEP are you using?
Is your router connected to the internet at the time? What error are you getting back from your DS when you try and connect? Hidden SSID on your wireless connection?

When you test connection are you getting 3 bars on the signal strength logo in the top right (I think its top right might be left), or is it red?

I actually got frustrated at mine yesterday when it wouldn't connect and then I realised I had the modem off

Hmm what sort of encryption are you using, I had to drop mine back to the lowest form of WEP to get it to go.

Maybe try moving further away from the access point (yes I know that sounds wierd!)

(If you haven't already) Try going into your modem and changing the wireless channel to '1' or '11' (or 12?). I had troubles connecting to my Wii when it was on the default channel '6' but as soon as I changed it to '1' it connects every time.

    Just a thought...........tez

try turning your encryption off, see if you can get it to connect, if yes then try turning it back on. Are you punching hex key or the phrase?

Might try updating the router firmware...eeek

I'm having the same trouble with my DS .Was working great when we had no security settings on the router ie Billion 7202g but after we created WPA security with a key number I haven't been able to get on at all no matter what settings I load into the DS..

I think the DS only allows WEP encryption. I remember having to change it from WPA to WEP because I wanted to try out the Nintendo Wi-Fi.

Exactly right, NO WPA on the DS, WEP only, it was a huge complaint when it came out.

try giving the DS a static IP address instead of auto settings. same with DNS (ipconfig /all at a command prompt will give you the settings)i have the same modem and had the same problem until i did this. now it works fine.
