Yeah, I'd like to know if there are any local ones as well.
Otherwise, we could start up a bulk-buy if there's enough interest :-)
Anyone know of any local aussie resellers of Vulkano units?
cheers!

I got mine from Monsoon direct, but you could try simplyelectronics dot net for a Oz retailer.
Yeah, I saw that they were selling the deluxe (no HDD, just a 16GB SD Card) but I think it's overkill for what I need. Just wanting a flow.
Are you happy with your Vulkano?
I got the Vulkano Platinum (no longer sold). Note that for the lower spec models like the blast and flow they charge $12.99 for the apple or android player apps.
Mine works as advertised. need to open the appropriate ports on your router. Works well on a nextg connection but lousy on vodafone 3g. Can control fox box (change channels etc) remotely via the player. Have tested pc, android, and ipad players, and all work well. Lan connection works very well, but remember that you can only log on one connection at a time whether on lan or wan.
It all depends on your line speed ie 150kps = poor quality, 300kbps = ok, 600kbps = good.

This chart explains the differences between the versions.
Just buy from Monsoon and let them ship to you direct.
I have several hundred of them and they work fine. I have one on Foxtel and it works a treat up here in Taiwan. Streaming quality depends on your upload speed and your remote speed. Mine runs around max 2.3mb on remote streaming in Taiwan. But they run fine with a lot less.

Thanks for the feedback guys - glad to hear they work as advertised.
irdeto2engineer - "several hundred" ... geez, you should own the company

One question - does each unit handle all the different TV standards (eg. PAL + NTSC) or do they make them specifically for each region?
Cheers for that. Reason I ask is that Amazon sell them with cheaper mail options (for slower delivery).
Also seen some that have a "networking" version in the title. Anyone know what that means or is it just a marketing technique?
