Default SA: Any comms techs looking for work?

    Hi all,

We have a possible job going up here in Roxby Downs / Olympic Dam at the moment. We are looking for an open reg ticketed comms tech with CCTV, fibre and possibly radio experience with high safety standards for a roster of 5days on 2 days off, 5 days on 2 days off, 10 days on 4 days off (5/2, 5/2, 10/4) for the first 4 months September through December. After that time the roster would be flexible. It is possible that we could do a 13 days on 8 days off roster if need be however this would mean that we would need to find someone to cover the 8 days off so the 5/2, 5/2, 10/4 is our preferred option. Accomodation is supplied however you would need to organise your own travel and meals. The wage is a casual rate of around 40 dollars an hour flat rate with a possibility of an increase after a 3 month probation. The days are 10 hour days so there is a potential to earn around $5000 a fortnight if you work a 13 and 1 roster. You would be required to pass a fitness for work medical and a strict drug and alcohol policy is applied.

If you think this is something you may be interested in please send me your resume at mwhite@mpsgroup.net.au or give Brett a call on 0886711711.

    Regards,

    Phatal.

We had a guy working with us for 2 weeks. Worked for 5 days and then was "sick" for the rest. He got picked up and taken to a mental hospital on the weekend.... Sooo now we definitely need someone to fill the position! Any takers???

I'll move this down to the Security forum as CCTV is a requirement, you might get better luck there. If you dont get any replies I'll move it back in a day or 2

    Good luck

Onsite or offsite? Is accommodation in camp (olympic village)? Radio experience for the new surface comms?

It is on site on the surface for the current role until xmas as a fill in position. After that it would be varied as the person would then come into our normal comms team. The radio experience is required for the current radio system. The position is available while the normal comms bloke is working on the new radio system project. Accommodation is a bedroom in one of our share houses.
