    Panasonic - good build quality, easy to get parts for, simple operation.

    Not saying they are the best, but certainly worth a look.

    I have HD765's in stock.
    They are not branded, but the quality is high & are very good value.

    Price is $300 ($430 with 500gb SATA hard drive)
    I also have colour, waterproof, inferred cameras, both dome & outdoor, with either 3.6 or 6mm Sharp CDD's at $75ea as well as video/power -> RJ45 ballums at $20/pair

    my points are simple, do you record stuff now, and do you watch it again.
    Is the stuff you wish to record actually worth recoding.
    Will the stuff be repeated and able to be viewed relatively soon.
