    Hey lemonfish,
the via 1435 has a micro sd card slot at the bottom of the gps unit. not sure, but is there some way to install maps on the card instead? Not sure if it will work for i may need to load a whole new navcore on the card. Thanks.

    Thanks !
FWIW, the Fast Activate 3rd procedure would not work when my memory card was in the (Chinese) PDA, as there does nor seem to be a drive letter for it.
When I used a card reader instead, it worked fine.
I did not bother with TTHome as I never use it anyway.

    1) Download the latest speed cameras from the thread. Go to the latest posts for the latest updates.

    2) Extract the downloaded zip or rar file. Once extracted, you will then see 2 files

    3) Copy across the 2 files and paste them into the map folder. Overwrite any common files if prompted

    4) Run FastActivate Premium (the latest version) and click on the 2nd button, making sure you wait until it has completed

    5) Confirm that a Safety_Cam_AU_TomTom.ov2.dct file is created in the map folder

    6) Reboot. Done

    They are there.

If the new .dct file was created for the speed cameras, then they are present in your map. Do a demo of a route where there are known cameras to test, or even take it for a test drive.

Hi Lemonfish, thanks for the great work.

Should the cameras show up as a POI category? When I used to do this years ago for my very first TOMTOM GO they did and you could assign different warnings and .bmp files depending on the speed limit.

I have updated to the latest map, I am working off 9.061, the .dct file for the speed cameras has been created (only 1KB though). Is the only way to know they are working to go for a drive?

The official speed cameras are not POI. They are a service.

You can assign a different sound by going into the Safety Alert settings found in the menu under "TomTom Live Services" or similar.

You don't need to go for a drive to test the cameras. Prepare a demo route at 100% speed and the cameras should show up only a few seconds before approaching them.

Thanks for the great guide, but after doing everything as per guide, when Tom Tom starts it just hangs on the Tom Tom screen. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Try the latest version 1.8.8.0 which includes the latest meta, so doesn't need updating.

The 3 current Australia v880 maps are as follows:

    1) - full IQ & ALG map which requires navcore version 8.2xx or higher

    2) - basic map with no IQ or ALG

    3) - IQ & ALG but no ASR - usually used on TomTom Carminat devices (built-in car navigation) - also requires navcore version 8.2xx or higher

For your TomTom ONE, if you use the official navcore, then only the basic 880.3811 map will work on your device.

The latest 880.3811 map is for your official navcore.

7.903 is the latest official navcore for your device.

You can use an SE navcore of your choice, such as 8.562
