    Default Logging Data Cheaply.

What is the cheapest item that will provide the ability to log the data stream easily. I know a lot of people talk of the Dreams, but are there other solutions that are cheaper but still give the same result. If the Dreams are the way to go, can someone point me to the best spot to get one - what model is best?

    G'day Min,

Why go for the 7020 for logging? How did you get logging happening with the 7020? I can only log with the DM500 using IRD Extract. There was another sugestion of how to log with a dream when I posted that I couldn't log with the 7020 but I haven't
    tried yet.

I use the main board from a dm500s as a dedicated logger.

It just sits there all day spewing out log packets.

    Power consumption? 12 watts

    total cost...$75

Dunno, thought I seen it somewhere on here. So are you saying it isn`t possible to log with a 7020? I was thinking of getting 1 of these for this purpose.
Looks like I might have to opt for the 500 then.
What about the 600s? can they be used to log?

sure can, they can even let you watch TV as well, however they're a bit expensive compared to earlier model DMs

When using gemini on my 7020, IRD_log_extract refused to work, changed to PLI and it went like a dream

    Cheers, RHCP.
