Tamper & alarm terminals are not polarity sensitive
Hi guys,
I need help wiring and placing the resistor on this PIR for zone doubling of a nx12.
The terminals are as follows from left to right
TAMPER TAMPER FREI ALARM ALARM -12V +12V
Im confused because there are no -/+ markings on Tamper and Alarm.
And im unfamiliar with FREI.
Thanks in advance

If you can't even work that out, what the hell are you doing installing?? and where is your supervision??

What does 4 core cable mean? Can i use it for the PIR?
of course im kidding, just being a s/a
It's plausible you were serious given your first question.

Obviously its a Bosch in which case you follow the handedness of the 12v (ie. leftmost terminal is - and rightmost is +) for a German model, however you reverse this if it's an Austrian model, if it's really a really old model (pre-unification East German then generally the terminal markings are completeley in reverse order)

I hate it when people put doubts in my mind
-12v to +12v is 24v
240v.
Its a new PIR. The brands an iQUAD digital Quad Detector by Rokonet, a Risco Group.
If you read the little note that came with the detector/s it tells you exactly what each terminal is for.
+12, 12V Positive (red wire)
-12, Common (black wire)
Since its zone doubling with the Hills Alarm Panel
One wire in alarm (blue wire)
one resistor end in Alarm with the other end in Tamper
One wire in tamper (white wire)
Note: the FREI terminal is used to terminate a wires together or resistors instead of soldering. But in this case not used.

Oh my god
Does anyone know when the new NavCom app for iphones is coming out?
I have a hectic setup and cant wait?
ComNav you mean and no. Don't count on it any time soon as Apple rejected the submitted app and it's not high on the priorty list to get it rewritten. I sincerely hope you're trolling. If you can't wire a bloody PIR, you've got no hope in hell of configuring a ComNav module.
