Strangely any driver releases after bm750-2.6.18-7.3-4.4.3-20110817.tar.gz cause my vu+duo to hang on boot.

Fortunately I can still get ftp access and replace them and it will work again. I'm using VIX 2.2.

Thanks Vic. You'd be right about that. I'd forgotten about 2.1. I tried it the other day and didn't like it, so went back to VIX.

VIX 3 will be out very soon based on pli 2.1 so I'll just wait for that.

Next is Vix 2.3. There is no schedule for Vix 3.0 if you mean the one with Linux 3.0 embedded. Looking forward to 2.3 anyhow.

    cheers

sorry fellas it's been a while since i visited thers here parts.

any way those drivers are now quite old and were buggy hence why they were pulled.
when installing beta drivers a good idea is to start a telnet session before rebooting and issue the following command
    depmod -a
    then reboot once done.

as for the bootloader, it adds no functionality what so ever, other than allowing the receiver to use larger images than 64 meg.

ViX 2.3 will be along as soon as were happy to release it at present were upto 78 revisions of that image and still going. hopefully it wont be too long now. as for ViX 3.0 thats not even a twinkle in andy eye yet.
