    Default Invalid Smart Card

    Hello,
I hope you guys can help me.

    I have a Strong SRT-4658X with1.07 4/10/07 loaded.
I have two dishes and a two port Diseqc switch.

One dish is for C1 (Aurora) and the other is for PAS8 (SelectTV)
The Aurora card is in slot one and SelectTV card is in the cam.

Everything worked ok for a few months but now, I receive an error message saying “Invalid Smart Card” in slot one.

The interesting thing is that I can pop the card in and out and the Aurora will work for 10 – 15 minutes and then the error message appears again.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Check the switch on the card slot,
There used to be a post on using sticky tape to build up the leading edge of the smart card to hold in the switch, apparently card isn't thick enough.
    Guessing this is your problem.

    Default

put tape roughly behind the chip part of card, it just makes it fit tighter in slot.
