Regional WA Digital Rollout

Looking forward to a Sunny Perth next week. Hopefully, I will find out just which local councils will be providing a terrestrial digital service and which ones won't (not including broadcaster upgraded sites).

The networks will be busy in getting the last few sites installed over the next few months;

August:

* Carnamah
* Tenindewa
* Morawa

Actual start dates are a little sketchy at the moment. Some of the sites listed above are DOLMA sites (aka same day analog switch-off) like Esperance, Kunnunurra East, Dampier. There are others but I don't have that information at the moment.

Just a followup - Esperance WA went online today at 10.30am (29/08/2012) -simultaneous shutdown of the analog service and full activation of the digital service - all 22 channels available - only took about 90 mins for the upgrade.

Geraldton has started commisioning on Wednseday 28th. I Was able to pick up some channels during the day. Looked to be switched off after 5pm. Was reported in the local paper that it could take up to 2-3 weeks before completed? Still more waiting

Geraldton is scheduled to fully turn on digital tomorrow!! I can't wait!

I really do envy many of you who have had limited or no TV coverage over the years because all of the current line up on the side' channels like Go/Gem/7Two/mate are 20 plus years old so what your about to get is all new to you.
Of course now their picture is so clear you can see the age lines and some are in two channel mono.
Whats on the base channels like desperate housewives and Vampires isnt that much better.
