Have tried it with a couple of card readers from Holland (The original ones we used with Cdevil)
I have also tried it with my Mastera set to different settings.

    (I don't have a Jaycar one)
it should be set to 3.5 according to the config (and that's what I tried last night). I have a jaycar.

Thanks Leroy for your help - However, seems like I am not destined to get the DM 500 going with what I can discover - despite your help and all my experiments.

Has anyone elso got their DM 500 going with an Aurora sub card or gold card (for Aurora) via a NON Jaycar card reader or in the DM 500 slot?

If so what image and setting did you use?

RE ABOVE: have just discovered this new thread

It answers the first part of my question. However, from what fandtm666 has posted, perhaps I have one of those DM boxes that does not co-operate

You can download cams etc by hitting the yellow button twice.
Have a play and post some feedback.

Changed comms to zero's and enabled DHCP by default.

This is a pain in the arse its gone again.here is my config file, can you see anything wrong with it.

    TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/sci0
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/sci0 7800000

i tryed changing the clock to 6000000 but nothing,
    running LeroyPatrol's
NabiloDM500-V08-OptusC1_LNB10700_external_phoenix_B_line230508.img on a dm500 clone. using a mastera 4 set at phoenix mode 0 . i removed the words phoenix because it did not see the card in the cccam menu ,i can fire the card up every now and then in the openbox,so the card is still running is there anything else i have to do.

Mastera at phoenix 0 will run at 6 MHz so you would definitely have to use 600000 in your cfg file.

the current freq line refers to the inbuilt slot. You need to add a freq line for the phoenix/mastera also.

    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/tts/0 6000000

I haven't played with just cccam with the whitey since the issues and I don't know if you have an updated card. You may need to # out the B: so the card gets an update then once it does put it back in. You can automate this so do a search on cron job or B: etc...

As i said in another thread i cant seem to get NewCS1.62/CCcam 2.09 to run but have found another way to start it in CCcam2.08 similar to what you said about # the b line.which didnot work for me.
    first B:/dev/tts/0 00
when picks appear pull the card change to
    B:/dev/tts/0 04
    reboot
so all who havent got it going yet try this ,it will give you some hope.this will probably drop out tomorrow.so more fiddling needs to be done.
