Exclamation Ademco Vista 12, wanna add wireless

i installed ademco vista 12 last year at my place, now i am thinking to add wireless module to it.

my assumption is that i would need following:
    1 - Wireless Receiver
    2 - Wireless Remote Controls (x2)

can someone her please guide me in right direction, i mean what models i should buy to match with my vista 12, and from where i can buy on descent prices, thanks.

I know all here will not like this...
    but try ebay (america)

get a wireless receiver (model 5881) and model 5804 remotes. there are stacks of them on ebay, shouldnt set you back more than $100. Programming is simple as well, but i assume you know that having installed the system yourself.

If your not having wireless pir's or reeds later you could add the street smart kit.
Which is just a little receiver and two remotes, standalone kit for arming and disarming.

    Have a look at
    Search part no VISTASTR

Just a little insight from a security point of view, is it necessary to have a remote to arm/disarm?

I have installed remotes on systems only when the owner has a remote garage door, and even then it only disarms the garage area, then with a keypad in the garage they have to use a PIN to gain entry to the house.

Same with sites I have come across that use proximity cards to disarm on first badge. Yeah it might be convenient but not secure enough in my opinion.

    Just my 2c.

the only advantage of this is not having to use any zones, but if you can spare the 8 zones for 2 remotes go with the proper gear.
