OK, Heres the latest. Couldnt get any joy from the Modbo 4.0 with the 1.99 firmware so just removed it and installed a new Duo3 Ultra, Got it now to play PS2 backups and orig's and DVD movies but when I try a PS1 either orig or backup it tries for a while to read it then says that its a PS2 disc with no data or shows the gold PS2 disc screen, Anyone have any ideas please, Been over and over and over the instal and it looks OK to me, Obviously somethings not quite right - Thanks

might be a super late reply, but late than never i suppose.

I dont think its possible for the 90002 to play backup PS1 games.
Something to do with the laser, i read somewhere that it works sometimes, on certain media burnt at a certain speed. But other than that ive had trouble getting PS1 backups going on any modchip on the 90002 series.

Even original PS1 games need the chip disabled to play them. (Mars Pro 816HD)

I don't think it has anything to do with the installation,

Pretty much 1 wire is responsible for PSX games, that being SX.
I can confirm that PSX games do work on 90K series using Modbo 4, albeit not 1st time every time, but usually after a reset its ok
