We have a large solar powered street-style lamp post in the garden which has worked well for a few years.... at least until the the batteries died. My idiot uncle replaced them with non-rechargeable batteries for some reason - of course they didn't last long.
What type of battery is best for this device? As have no clue what was originally in them. It takes AA sized batteries, but are NiCad or NiMH better? And are ones with a higher ampere rating better?
Thanks, RHCP.
