You need to specify the intended purpose and what you define as 'really reliable'.

Add type of vehicle, its a bugger to fit a 9 foot stainless steel whip to a Fiat 500 as they tend to fall over due to wind drag.....................
I was going to have that as a 3 metre C band Mesh but nobody would consider doing that, would they now????

Vehicle type is a Land rover. Reliable as in good for all weather conditions (yes, I know that's kind of a bit too much too ask for). I need one to get me good broadband connection, plus email retrieval and "if possible", video calls.

The iNetVu antenna system allows the delivery (while stationary) of broadband satellite based Internet services into mobile environments virtually anywhere ...
    Not cheap.

I thought all you wanted was a good antenna for CB or other 2 way radio not a mobile communications facility.
Would you mind telling us where your proposing to be traveling to want that kind of reception?

Telstra Next G and the newer 4G will probably give you the best wireless broadband terrestrial coverage around Australia.... but you haven't said which network you are using or intending to use.

An antenna like should be suitable for terrestrial wireless broadband.

4G ?? I saw a modem at my local Telstra shop last week and guess what, it dont bloody work around here and the staff didnt seem to have a clue if it in fact ever would.
It was this store that told me any mobile could ring 000 or its mobile equivelent ANY WHERE in OZ,including the Simpson Desert.
Strange that as we had 2 deaths not 10 miles from a major town because the persons were outside the 'Technological Highway'
Except for Satelitte there are places the Landrover can go that Wireless Broadband never will and that isnt that far off the major roads either.

    Easy answer.

RFI CD-Q2195 (Under 3 foot tall and works well)
RFI CD-Q2199 (6 foot tall beast and is about the best mobile antenna to cover all 6 carrier bands and all providers/networks.

    850
    900
    950
    1800
    1900
    2100

It comes with best coax you can get for RG-58 style and the antenna is removable from the base come time for maintenance or car wash.
