Default [ask] annoying problem with gmxt

I own a chinese YF PND with wince 6, GMXT ver 5.00.20wp has run smooth on this PND for years without any significant problem

Recently I change the original launcher application with IPhone like launcher, now my GMXT behave strangely

On every startup, GMXT would scan the attached gps device for a long time then failed, the only way to fix this, is to disable the gps, choose serial port com 1 and re enable the gps, then it works as usual

It's very annoying to disable, then re enable the gps on every startup

If I switch back to the original launcher, the problem gone

    Can anyone help me ?

Reading between the lines of your post, I'd say you have been to this thread & made a mess of your GPS.

Since you can go back to original Launcher & problem is solved, you must have a back up of your Device software/firmware, well done, a lot of people fail to keep a back up of original.

Actually just found a post by you in that thread.
So you have got a working GPS & you want to modify it. Can only suggest you read the the rest of that thread to see where you went wrong.
    Good luck.
Looks like a lot of you having similar problems with Chinese GPS
    Cheers, Tiny

Yes, I always backup everything, before installing anything

I read the thread, but couldn't find one which has similiar problem to mine

I think the original launcher isn't intended just to launch menu, but also a port splitter, but how it did that, still a mystery to me

    Can anyone help ?

For your problem your in the wrong place, this section is about Garmin GPS, we don't have many problems, & the ones we do don't relate to a Chinese GPS, try starting a new thread in , be patient & someone will hopefully answer your Question.
