xtreme xsc520 firmware upgrade

I need a firmware upgrade for my xtreme 520. Can anyone please help?

Hotchip one of this site advertisers do the range of xtreme sat.recievers maybe they have a firmware for your reciever model no.
I have the same model as you an factory defaults to channels for optus b3/c1 channels which are now mostly all wrong since changes to d2 as b3 replacement so I need to manually edit an scan,maybe this is your issue also? as to a new firmware I havent tried Hotchips yet,maybe I should also?

When i purchased my xtreme xsc520 there was an issue with the firmware, from memory it was something to do with the clock and northern hemisphere/southern hemisphere. It was quite a while ago, hotchips promised some updated firmware would be available, and after about 3 months they delivered.
I did install this new firmware but to be honest I didnt notice any difference in the functionality of the decoder. as to any newer updates I havent seen any

Hi all

I just got one of these XSC-520 decoders 2nd hand

Can anyone tell me if there is a manual available

BUT more importantly is there a way to reset the code to access the setup etc...

The normal pin is 0000

you could try this

Refer to Change PIN code

Resetting the Installer PIN Code:

Press the menu button on the remote control unit
Scroll down to System setup
Press OK
Press the Red, Green, Yellow and Blue buttons
Press exit

Your Pin code is now set to 0000.

Default Menu Lock PIN: 0000 or 6195

Default CA System PIN: 0317

There was only ever one firmware update to these receivers in Australia which is the one AfterHourz described. I am sure there must be at least one member out there that still has it.

fergs , there is a loader program for the Xtreme but I cant think of the name for it.

Edit : Downloaded it for a look and it has the loader with it.
