    I'm thinking about starting a cs lan server for my home. Just wondering will a elvis programmer read a f*xtel sub card ?

    Will it work ?

    it should be ok, slap it in Phoenix mode and test.
    i think they come standard with a 3.57mhz xtal. it should still work ok over LAN.

    I have one, but haven't used it in years; do you have to use software (to set the mode) to read a normal sub card? If yes, i would be warry of using it, as mine (and many others) had a tendency to 'playup' (better on batteries), you would have to re-instert the card, or power-cycle the unit. Only an issue if your going for a remote/bullet-proof setup.
