Default Problem replacing case on Nintendo DS

I have tried to replace the case on a DS but i have screwed up something and now it does not power up anymore. The green LED flashes and thats about it.

Any ideas what to try? Is there any service/repair place around pakenham, melbourne?

Green light flashing, I think you might have broken the lid sensor. The green light flashing (slow 1 second flash) means that the DS is in sleep mode (lid closed). As for fixing these things I dont know of anywhere that does this.

If you turn on a normal DS with the lid closed it will do the same thing.

when you removed the LCD ribbon cables from the connectors to swap cases did you insert them properly as the DS won't power up without the LCD flat cables inserted all the way into the sockets

they don't slip in easily you need some gripping pliers or tweezers and gently grip the hard plastic of the ribbon cable apply pressure and push till the flat cable goes all the way in and then lock the connector down - usually its further than you think as its a dual row connector instead of single row

    regards...

We also fix them. You have most likely just not plugged in one of the screens.

They are damn hard to replace hey? lol
