if someone else has your Nand and CPU key

G'day all,
Just wondering why ppl block out their CPU key etc in online tutes? Is it because it can be used by others? Or is it to hide it from M$?
If I was having trouble with a nand dump, what is the harm in sending it and CPU key to someone else to test?

it can be used by others (probably not without the other information normally required in the nand though)

for instance you can buy a donor unbanned nand with its own CPU key from wherever and you can then flash that nand onto your xbox, which makes M$ think its an unbanned console which can then use on xbox live (only very briefly then it will get banned again!)
