    Cool Magic Radar TX24 DVR

I have recently removed a DVR system branded Magic Radar TX24. It is a PC based 18 chan DVR system. I have a feeling I will be required to reinstall it at some later date.
It seemed to be working before it was removed but the system menu is password protected & no one knows the password. Does anyone have experience with this system or know how to default it. It had four very scabby b/w fixed iris minidome (Rhino) internal cameras & twelve fairly scabby b/w full body (Kobi) external cameras.I have never heard of this brand & I suppose it could have been put together by anybody. Any help or suggestions will do.

    Default

Magic Radar is distributed by Security Merchants, give them a call, I think by memory it was called Tibet Magic Radar.

The default values for User and Password are “admin” and “no password”.

But here is a link to the hardware manual.

    They're not too bad.
Capture rate is per card, so all cameras on that card get that rate. But pretty stable, a lot more than you can say for some other PC based DVRs

Why not purchase the $10 ones off ebay does the same trick
Only benefit is you can tie into Insight...

Tibet cards arent that special, very expensive in my mind...

Id prefer reliable old standalone dvr's that work.
