    Default Dead link

Can someone please re-upload as the megaupload link is dead.

EDIT: I'm an idiot and found them.

I find the volume for spoken directions to be much lower than my previous version navcore, so I reverted back for that reason.

Question Problems with latest TT version 9xxx??

I connected my GO730 to PC today, updated and got offered a new Aust map, QuickGPS and new operating software version 9xx (can't remember the exact number!). The blurb for the software upgrade indicated it was for numerous TT devices including the GO730. In the upgrades list I could deselect everything from the update except the op software- the tick box to deselect that was greyed out- I HAD to take the software upgrade!

Updated and 730 still worked but had screwed the nav screens- could't find the main screen and only had some preferences options to select from.
Eg couldn't find 'Navigate to' and other normal buttons. Device still tracked accurate map locations and travel movements- just couldn't find any menu screens to navigate etc. Eventually restored previous versions and all is ok.

    Any body with similar experiences?

    Yep... (GO730).

After the update (same as yours, required application update) just freezes on the splash screen. Can't even turn it off Only way to turn it off is by using the reset button, but when it's turned back on ... it freezes on the splash screen again.

Works perfectly on go520 with 890 4222. Western Europe excellent, USA seems OK, Misbehaved and crashed on UK & Roi.

    Default Thanks! Works on Go910

I know it's an old thread, but I'd like to thank you for links and instructions. This works ok on my GO910, but I cant get ALG to work with my newest Scandinavi map (905.4757).

And I thought I'd give a little advice to Mac users:

Before hacking, and after making a back-up with Tomtom Home, be sure to make a copy of the back-folder on another disk - it's not enough to rename the folder and leaving it in the same place as Home used. Home will gladly use a renamed folder and overwrite your back-up when the new system is back-up'd…

    Cheers

Well, maybe you get it work with a map that acutally has ALG data included?
    Like the 904.4754 map...
Not quite sure why someone from Scandinavia seeks advise in a local Australian forum...

Never use TomTom HOME to backup your device, as it doesn't always backup everything. Always use copy paste into a new folder.

The map I'm using was the latest I could buy from TomTom - that's why…

And I was simply googling for the latest navcore and found this forum :-)
