Cheap Domain Name Registration?

Hey guys
im looking at registering up a few domain names
i remember my laste .com.au was purchased for under $30 but i cant remember from who.
i had a quick look around and found enetica who want $90 for two years.

Whats the going rate these days?

I did one the other day, hit one of the first to pop up on google and it was $12.95 a year. Min 2 years.

I thought that was reasonable.

pretty cheap atm about $27 for 2 years

and a couple of .com with
at about $10 per year

Just signed up with 3ix.com $75 for 2 years including domain name, Unlimited bandwidth which I found the others didn't have.

I have a number of domain names and hosting with Hostess. Because of their very reasonable rates their is no phone support only submitting a ticket via their web site if you have a query or problem. It's absolutely useless and unacceptable. I will be changing to another supplier as soon as I can. I have submitted numerous tickets, faxed them and had no reply for a serious problem we have with them right now. Their hopeless.

Some prices people have quoted are for registration only, Some are for Registration with hosting. No use in comparing apples and bananas.

aussiehq.com.au has top service and at least you can speak to someone. What you pay is what you get.They have domain names for com.au for $59 for 2 years.

We got our domain and hosting from Crazydomains.com.au. $12.95 for .com and $20 for .com.au

Google is US$10 and u get Google apps thrown in for free.

google's offering .COM/.NET etc not a .COM.AU. cheapest for .com.au have been $16.95 when MYOB was selling them below costs, and then 19.95 from the likes of COVE on special. but for regular prices $24.95 seems to be the cheapest.

also, godaddy and namecheap has cheaper .com prices as well

anyways it for whoever's looking for a cheap domain name.

Alrighty, a newby at this,sorry to the op if I'm butting in, but when it comes to renewing your domain name in two years, can you renew with a cheaper registrar? eg, I registered .com.au\ .com\ .net, domain name with Melbourne IT for big bucks, I know, is US dollars, then the mongrels doubled it into Aussie dollars. Just looking to see if I can get it cheaper in two years time? or am I stuck with these guys forever?
