thanks guys for your help, reason why i was looking for upgraded firmware is that i installed the firmware for the supernet 488a hardy1963 supplyed in his post, i was having sync and visual problems on my space sp480. but after the software update finished and the box reset i was getting static sound from box and the screen fades in then out and there is scrolling. i think i stuffed the box, ohh well its all good

    thanks again

scrolling could be that the box is set to incorrect tv system like pal / ntsc

play around with those settings if not i try and make back up of my space firmware

    STB - Loader software shows

    ** Feed_back = 0x80000 etc.. for 4 mins when booting to upload the f/w..

The display on the box keeps changing between random numbers like 380, 200, 106 etc..

    any idea?

it seems to throw an error before hand.. the 2nd line of the load shows 'A-ERR' which i assume is some sort of Error..

I think the problem may be that these receivers use a different flash which the loader doesnt support.

    Hey Guys,

I ma seeing the same error on a space sp480. i agree looks like it's seeing the wrong start address in the firmware. Anybody seen a later loader than v4 ?

the 1 that hangs has already been updated ,the firmware was only released to get rid off the e17 problem, i got the firmware direct from importer a few months ago it does nothing else.
the space 480 that wont upgrade needs a eeprom changed and reflashed the only people that can do this is the importer
