Default New D2Pro For D2C2 Shipping Monday

    Hey Everyone,

The new Wii's start shipping on Monday, some of you would have already seen these un-modable consoles come into the shop, now you know for sure that there is a chip and a working solution for customers.

We are not surprised that it's come from the D2Pro team, I mean look how long it was before another team took on the D2CKey for the D2C's.

We have been kind of lucky here in Oz that the consoles have only really just started surface, the bastards have been in the US for a couple of months causing chaos.

Anyway, was just a quick note to let you all know they are real, working and shipping out as of Monday.

Great news mate. Thanks for the heads up.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

No worries cwispy, looks like the new Wasabi is not far off too, still think D2Pro will be the best choice. Timing was just right for us here in Aus, only when they just stared showing up we have a solution, very nice.

    Have a good weekend all.

1051 is the highest serial number I have heard of yet, people have been getting them here in 48's 49's and even some earlier ones.

Had a LAH10475XXX that had a D2C2 in it, just swapped the D2PRO (had just flashed the old one with newest firmware) with new D2C2 D2PRO and all was good. Might have to get some more off you if I get too many more this week.

Have done a 48 & 49.....i think they may need to release an update for them as the 48 was buggy(intermittent drive lock-up), & thats with 3 different chips.

I have not seen this yet....did u download the latest config disk and check if it asks for a update? Config disk forces u to update to the latest firmware....1.4 from memory

just had one yesterday , whenever the chip was installed the wii would play up
on power on , it would go straight to power on
    no reset
when inserting a disk it would take the disk in by stages ie a cm at a time then stop then another cm
once in there was no spin up and the disk would not eject
so no reset , no working power on/off and no eject or read
take the chip out and the wii was fine
    very weird one
will get back when (if) i figure out a fix

    it certainly does

but I have found the problem
the Actel chip was not correctly put on the pcb right
After a really close look I noticed that the legs to points C , 9 , 8 , and 7 were lookig rough , I resoldered them by hand and all was sweet

Might be worth reflashing it with programmer, then set the region with an original PAL disk again...maybe the first disk u put in was a bit dodgy so try a differant one might have done something weird with the region setting....I have needed to do that more than once...not with the D2C2 ones but with the ones with the little SPI addon thing....The new D2C2 ones have been fine so far

Thanks Oz. That will be a handy one to keep in mind for future installs when things dont work. Dont usually think about checking the modchip itself.

I always use the original of Wii Sports to region set....but ye worth a reflash in future.

ok update here for all who are interested

Tried to recreate what happened to the wii in a previous post in this thread
You will get those very same symptoms if you do not attach the 'C' point or the connection is dodgey .
I also found that if you are using cheap wire if you bend the wire over past 60 degrees on the 'C' point you will also get this symptom (due to rebounding RF interferance , i tried 4 different types of wire just to get correct results )
so if you do get this check that you have good quality shielded wire (the PROPER 30awg kynar is great , the cheaper stuff is not) and also check joint itself as well as the chip physically

(I know it is anal of me , but people that know me well know that I spend hours doing this shit if I find something wrong , just so I know how to repair it in the future since I know most of the fixes inside and out generally you cannot find squat on the net so you have to do it yourself lol)

Hi Ozchips, I have to admit I have had more than one of these bending my noodle, I ended up connecting the C wire directly to the pin of the controller, and I found that helps...Do u know whats actually on that pin? Don't have a Oscilloscope thats worth crap.

I am glad to hear your confirmation of that troublesome pin, its also interesting to hear your finding on just how sensitive it is.

    Thanks for sharing.
