Default 1 Sat Dish 2 Points

Just wondering if anyone can clear this up for me. I has one sat dish on the roof and want to install another point in another room. Can I jsut split the cable or do I have to use a duel LNB. I am planning on getting another Fox IQ unit as I am sick of watching the missues crap. I have split normal coax before just not sure if this is the way you go about it with Sat.

If you are going to get another IQ then Foxtel will come and install a dual LNB and run the cable for you so I wouldn't worry about it. The reason for not just splitting the cable is because some channels use vertical and some horizontal polarization. So you can't watch channels on both polarizations simulataneously with 2 STB's hence the dual LNB is required.

Easy, Foxtel will come and install a multi switch. The multiswitch uses both the outputs from your dual LNB and has 4 or more connections that go to your outlets.

It you have a F*x card you could buy a couple of dreamboxs, a dual lnb and run the cable yourself and end up with the same result.

Which dream box would you recommend. I have a legit Foxtel digital subscription and was planning on getting another IQ but if I can buy my own box then I might look at doing that.
