    Default Strong 4658X CS Firmware

Can anyone guide me to the best CS firmware for the Strong 4658X, I've tried a few but they come up with "Invalid Smartcard" when I insert my season, and I'm pretty sure they are contacting correctly in the CI socket.

I have had no problem with 1.13 and 1.17 in 2 different 4658x boxes the best way to do it is to down load the loader program from the Strong site and the latest 1.17 firmware. Also ya need a RS232 cable to load it into the box.

I always use my flash drive to upload the firmware. Never had a problem.

I have had good and bad experiances with the flash drive version but never with a R232. Also the RS232 with a loader program is the only way to fix a flash drive that has gone bad.

Problem when the program goes to send a reset to the season, with the ATR details, goes to send and it reports IRD Reset LO.

    Any ideas?

Beats me I just plug in the RS232 cable to my lappy and the Strong start up the loader program, click Browse, highlight the latest firmware, click connect and away it goes. I have done to several 4658x and 4653x boxes without any problems the only time there has been a problem was when using a USB memory stick some times.

Sorry, the only sharing I have tryed is using a SmartWii splitter that works fine with a Strong
