XBOX 360 vs Wii

My daughter wants the XBOX 360 kinect mainly for the Dance game.
A mate says the wii is better. Dance Party in particular. Which way should I go? Does Wii have camera and allow the player to be the controller? Which is better all round? Thanks

I own both. If it wasn't for Mario Kart, the Wii wouldn't have seen much use since Kinect was released. As for control, Wii still requires that you physically hold a controller and does not support voice control. Overall performance of the Xbox is better particularly graphics.

I own a Wii and a PS3 and would take the Xbox over the Wii anyday. The Wii is a very basic unit and the Xbox is has much better hardware and game selection.

You can get some modded Xbox consoles for sale the Buy and Sell section for a pretty good price.

The wii is a good basic family console but with kinect the 360 blows it out of the water, wii still has a lot of good games. If your budget is low then a wii can be had for less than half of the xbox kinect bundle.

i really prefer the wii over my xbox but im not into the new types of games i like the old nes, snes gennisis games thats why i have the wii to play my old school games through the homebrew channel

Funny you say that, i find myself playing the old school arcade games on my RGH slim or Coinops on my xbox1 more than new 360 games .

the advantage of the Wii is that the whole family can play, a lots of good games

i think you should forget both the 360 and wii and get her into the pc gaming "glorious master race" early.
console games are for peasants.
