Picture quality from CCDXP32 of Main Event PPV
Circa December 2006
Also here is a pic of a PCTV Rave analogue capture card, this capture card featured a solid state tuner which was great for S-Video/RCA Video capture and also using Dscaler but awful for using CCDXP32 as the SST was not compatible for CCDXP32, luckly enough I had a Dynalink Magic TV CPH051 analogue TV Tuner card with the proper Philips Pal B/G tuner which worked great for both Dscaler and CCDXP32.
Both PCTV Rave and Dynalink Magic TV PCI analogue capture/tuner cards had the Brooktree/Conextant BT878A chipset which was very important for both Dscaler and CCDP32 ...
Of course both cards are pretty much redundant today if you use Windows 8 especially if you use 64-bit version ... as neither maker has made digitally signed 64-bit drivers, thankfully if you use Windows 7 64-bit there is a work around hacked solution of BtWinCap64bit driver which also works for Windows XP 64-bit but without irony not Vista 64-bit ...(shrugs shoulders at Vista not working properly) ...
So to those of you who were hackers and modders of Jerrold's/General Instruments STU's and to those of us who used computers, capture/tuner cards and programing of CCDXP32/Dscaler and even those of us who used hNCPlus for viewing analogue Foxtel via computers ect well done for helping out over the many years of doing that, in my case from around early 2001 till mid 2007 and to the others for a lot longer than I ...
Both solutions worked back in the day ....

Jerrold in a corn flake box
I have 2 or more here going cheap
Here ya go...
Just did a quick scan from 110MHz to 580MHz using my old setup ... Nothing but static
That said my I tried DVB-C card and Media Player Classic using a custom PID file and I noticed that they have changed the way the channels are multiplexed on each frequency.
HD channels are all complied on one frequency but the 8 sports channels are each on different frequencies all multiplexed with different genre channels, this must make the decryption system go crazy when switching channels.
WOW the picture on my Jerrold just vanished.
You know, the other program that was around at that time was perfected for excellent viewing on both Optus and NDS.
